SG Gameplay

Shattered Galaxy's gameplay is like no other game out there.

It mixes the best parts of many other genres and does so successfully. It takes the best part of an RTS: army/squad management; and the best part of an MMOG: lots of players all the time; and mixes them all together to get a game that's been going strong since it was released.

At various times the gameplay has changed slightly with new options and features introduced to the game. One of the most notable being SG V1.5 where armor was brought in that had different amount of damage depending on the weapon used against it.

Just recently, Overlords were removed from the game and Regiments are now created by the Game Director.

Starting Play

After installation start the game by clicking the SG Icon. Several animated screens will bring you to the Main Menu. If you've not yet created your Hero, click on New Commander and run through the easy setup for your Hero. Dont allocate your 20 free Stat Points yet. Leave your four attributes at 5 until you have decided on what type of hero you want. Most experienced players suggest setting Tactics to 20 to allow 7 units into a battle.

Once you have created your Hero log in to the game with the Continue Menu button.

Your Hero appears in the capital city of the faction you chose to join when you created your hero. You'll notice several buildings around the City. Visit them and find out what they do.
